Hello, I'm
Abby Brazell
Data & Business Analyst with nearly four years' analytical experience across health sector operations, credit strategy and collections analytics, plus a background in telecoms account management.
About me
I'm a Data & Business Analyst based in the Bay of Plenty, with nearly four years of analytical experience across health, credit strategy and collections. I started in data through a Level 4 apprenticeship at Northumbrian Water in the UK and now work as a Decision Support Analyst at Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty, where I build automated reporting and monitoring tools. My background in telecoms account management means I'm comfortable explaining complex data to non-technical people. I'm strongest in SQL, Power BI and Excel, and I enjoy turning messy, sensitive data into tools and insights people can act on, including a £2M debt recovery opportunity, a 23% efficiency gain through automation and a weekly task cut from 1–2 hours to about five minutes.
Right now I'm building my SQL, DAX and Python skills through a few personal projects, which are a work in progress and will be published here soon. I'm keen to move deeper into the analytics side, writing queries, building dashboards and working with complex data to solve problems, ideally in a data or IT-focused team. I'm open to data analyst, BI analyst and business analyst roles in New Zealand's North Island, and I'd love to hear from you if you're working on something interesting.
